A Fun Saturday Morning At The Portsmouth NH Farmer’s Market

One of my favorite things to do is visit our local farmer’s market. The Portsmouth NH market operates from May 7th through November 5th each year and they set up shop in Portsmouth City Hall parking lot each Saturday morning from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

This is around 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 30th, a nice crowd is already loading up with all sorts of tasty, locally grown produce and goods.

Tomatoes, lots of corn, beans, squash, and even some New Hampshire produced wines.

Enjoy a stroll through the market with me.

The lovely lady below was selling tomatoes and lots of other great looking veggies.

Of course a little ‘toe tapping’ music helps set the mood for a great experience. This band was a delight to listen to.

This smiling young lady above on the left is Matty Blayne who works with Cultural Homestay International. They put foreign exchange students together with local families for a school year. Right now they’re looking for around 200 families nationwide to host a foreign student so if you’re interested give her a call.

The smiling lady on the right is selling Indian foods. We bought some of her hummus after trying a sample………it was delicious.

Cut flowers seemed to be selling well so I’m sure a lot of Portsmouth homes will have a little extra color on the tables. Below right is the steel arch of the Interstate 95 bridge over the Piscataqua River and Portsmouth Harbor. The gleaming steeple of the Old North Church in downtown is just to the left

And of course if you’re looking for a new home to cook all those fresh veggies in Ann Cummings and I recommend you visit New Hampshire Maine Real Estate .com and see all the Portsmouth and Seacoast New Hampshire homes for sale as well as the southern Maine area.

We’re also happy to answer any real estate questions or questions about our beautiful location on the New Hampshire Seacoast.
