Don’t Miss North Hampton Winterfest 2020!

North Hampton Winterfest has been delighting residents and visitors alike for over a decade, and it’s back again for another year! That’s right; Winterfest 2020 returns on February 22! Here’s what to expect.

North Hampton Winterfest is a Day of Fun

On Saturday, February 22, the fun returns to North Hampton bright and early with a Pancake Breakfast at Town Hall at 8am. There are special events slated throughout the day, with a fireworks conclusion at 5:30 in Dearborn Park and all-day events like skating, sledding, and student art displays.

Tons of Activities for All

Games, food, activities, crafts… there’s something for everyone at Winterfest! Some of the most popular activities include Horse Carriage Rides, a Chili Cook-Off, a bonfire, skating and sledding, live musical performances, and of course, the closing fireworks.

Plenty More to Love on the Seacoast

Winterfest might be one of North Hampton’s most popular events, but it’s hardly the only thing happening around here! In fact, the Seacoast is filled with events, entertainment, and activity—even in winter! Check out some of our favorite things to enjoy on the Seacoast.

Beautiful Beaches

walking the beach in winter

Just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean the beach is any less beautiful! In fact, the Seacoast’s gorgeous beaches (like North Hampton State Beach) make for fantastic wintertime walking—just be sure to dress warm, and you can probably leave your bathing suit at home.

Scenic Hikes & Strolls

If the ocean breezes are a bit too chilly, move inland and explore the Seacoast on a wooded hike. If there’s snow, you can even strap on some snowshoes! Great Bay Wildlife Reserve in Newington is a very nice walk, and Odiorne State Park has cross-country skiing, too. For a more challenging climb, try Pawtuckaway State Park in Nottingham.

Charming Small Towns

Looking for something a little less… cold? Try some indoor entertainment at one of the Seacoast’s charming Downtown scenes! Of course, Portsmouth is a favorite, with attractions like the Strawberry Banke Museum and the Discover Portsmouth Center, plus tons of shopping and dining, but it’s hardly the only fun little town here!
