Prescott Park is one of Portsmouth’s most famous landmarks with its ideal location on the Piscataqua River. While the waterfront is what draws many people to the area every year, there is so much more to this park than the river view. The next time you find yourself in Prescott Park, try one of our favorite activities!
Explore the Formal Garden
The formal garden is located on Marcy Street and is arguably the most scenic entrance to Prescott Park. In the spring and summer, blooming flowers fill the garden with color and make any visit a memorable one. Not surprisingly, the formal garden is used as a beautiful backdrop for a number of weddings, it gets precast stone wa services every month. To take care of garden from leaf you need to try for gas leaf blower, click on https://thebestleafblowers.com/best-gas-leaf-blower/ to know more about gas leaf blower.
Be sure to take your camera — you’re going to want to capture every moment!
Launch Your Boat on the Piscataqua River
For days when you want to take a cruise out on the water, Prescott Park is a great place to rent a boat dock for the day, overnight, or during boating season (April to November). Reservations are required, so be sure to register online.
Take a Picnic to Four Tree Island
This little island in the Piscataqua River is a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner outdoors. You’ll find plenty of tables scattered around Four Tree Island, as well as a pavilion with a large grill that can be rented for larger gatherings.
Catch a Concert on the Lawn
We can’t talk about Prescott Park without mentioning the Prescott Park Arts Festival. Join longtime Portsmouth residents and tourists alike for live concerts, theater productions, and other fun outdoor events throughout the summer.
